This summer Okay Mountain painted a mural! Okay Mountain is an artist run gallery in Austin that focuses on showing exciting contemporary art from a local to an international perspective. In addition to running the gallery, the artists also function as a collective, completing and exhibiting creative projects as a team. Their latest project was a mural, commissioned by Austin Ventures, and specifically tailored for one floor of their office spaces. The mural tells the story of how an entrepreneur’s idea is brought to a marketplace, and venture capitalism’s role in that process. The entire work is 1,300 sq./ft. and broken into nine seperate tableaus that meander throughout the 22nd floor of their building. As a person walks through the office the narrative unfolds. Please enjoy these pics.
